How Often Should I…

Please note these are our own general automotive recommendations. Tao Auto advises you to consult your individual owner’s manual to ensure correctness.

Change My Car’s Oil?

Every 3,000 miles or 3 months — whichever comes first. The oil and filter collects contaminants that will damage your engine if they are not removed regularly.

Check the Battery?

Every 7,500 miles or 12 months. Battery terminals will corrode, causing a poor connection between the battery post and cable. An improper charge to the battery and a no-start condition will result.

Inspect the Cooling System?

Every 7,500 miles. The cooling system service from Tao Auto helps prevent corrosion, which causes the cooling system to malfunction.

Rotate My Tires?

Every 7,500 miles or 12 months helps obtain maximum tire mileage and performance.

Change My Transmission Fluid?

Every 30,000 miles. The transmission oil collects contaminants that can damage your transmission.

Replace the Spark Plugs?

Every 30,000 miles or 24 months (except platinum). Spark plug electrodes will corrode and cause a loss of fuel economy and engine performance if not replaced.

Receive a Brake Inspection?

Every 7,500 miles or 6 months. Brake linings need to be checked for cracking, glazing, contamination and wear.

Replace the Timing Belt?

Refer to your owner’s manual for interval. Timing belts will wear and/or crack. This will result in belt breakage and possible engine damage.

Check Component Performance?

Every 7500 miles or 12 months. Preventative maintenance and safety, all fluid levels, brake hoses and lines, exhaust system, suspension components, drive shaft boots, fuel lines and connections, cooling system hoses and connections, tie rod end steering gear box and boots.
