Tao Auto gives the following service recommendations: GENERAL: READ OWNER'S MANUAL: Do everything below that applies.
If you don't have one, we can order one for you.
Lube / Oil & Filter Change: Severe service - Every 3000 miles or 3 months
Because: The oil and filter collects contaminates that will damage your engine if they are not removed regulary.
Check battery: Every 7,500 miles or 12 months
Because:
Battery terminals will corrode, causing a poor connection between the battery post and cable. An improper charge to the battery and a
no start condition will result. Inspect Cooling System:
Every 7500 miles
Because: The cooling system service
prevents corrosion, which causes the cooling system to malfunction. Rotate Tires: Every 7,500 miles or 12 months
Because: To obtain maximum tire mileage and performance. Transmission Fluid Change: Every 30,000 miles
Because: The transmission oil collects contaminants that can damage your transmission. Spark Plugs:
Every 30,000 miles or 24 months (except platinum)
Because:
Spark plug electrodes will corrode and cause a loss of fuel economy and engine performance if not replaced. Brake Inspection (Front / Rear): Every 7,500 miles or 6 months
Because: Brake linings need to be checked for cracking, glazing, contamination and wear.
Timing Belt Replacement:
Refer to owner's manual for interval.
Because: Belts will
wear and/or crack. This will result in belt breakage and possible engine damage. Check Component Performance: Every 7500 miles or 12 months
Because: Preventative maintenance / safety; all fluid levels, brake hoses and lines, exhaust system, suspension components, drive shaft boots, fuel lines & connections, cooling
system hoses & connections, tie rod end steering gear box & boots. |
